Doing your own advertising?
You’ve got the message down pat, but your images… well, maybe they’re not quite what you hoped for, even with that great camera of yours.
If it makes you feel better, it’s not the camera. It’s all about getting the subject right, the lighting right, the angle right, and the background perfect. Then processing the final image for the medium you’re printing in – magazine, newspaper, Yellow Pages, postcards. That’s where years of experience make all the difference, just as they do in your business.
I picked up my first camera at the age of seven and more than 40 years later I’m the photographer of choice for many businesses in Queensland, including Telstra, Brisbane City Council, Volvo Truck and Bus, National Glass, Bradnams Windows and Doors, local Raine and Horne, LJ Hooker, Top Dog Advertising and Premier Anna Bligh. I shoot a wide range of subjects – from people to products to outdoors. And for a variety of uses – print ads, catalogues, brochures, sales promotions and public relations.
Rising young rock star Adam Coleman chose me to shoot his album cover (and was blown away by the result). And when the Asia Pacific Cities Summit was held in Brisbane, the Civic Affairs Department of the Lord Mayors Office asked me photograph the event and the visiting dignitaries as their official photographer.
If you need someone experienced in working with VIPs, I have photographed Lord Mayors, premiers and prime ministers. Then again, I also photograph products. So whatever your needs, there’s every chance I can help.
I am past president and current council member of the Professional Photographers Association of Queensland.
Not every photo is worth a thousand words… just a special few. My fees begin at $250 and I’m happy to quote your project or event without obligation.
